Get to Know Us
Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület was founded in Budapest in 2023 with the aim of raising environmental awareness and preventing environmental pollution. The foundation of our organization was laid by Márton Tóth and a friend who were sensitive to environmental issues in order to protect the quality of life of future generations. These two friends, united by their concerns about environmental pollution and future life, decided to start solution-oriented work and realized Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület. Over time, many of the members who have joined our association are environmentally conscious individuals from various professional groups.
The main purpose of our association is to raise awareness of the society and young people about the environment, to raise awareness about the negative effects of environmental pollution and to raise awareness by providing a social transformation on sustainable environmental management. Environmental problems such as industrial waste, air pollution, destruction of water resources, radioactive, visual and noise pollution are serious threats to our future. Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület works to draw attention to these problems, raise awareness about their causes and find solutions.
Our association aims to promote sustainable living habits among young people to prevent environmental pollution. In line with this goal, it is aimed to organize various activities. Through activities such as training programs, seminars, workshops and awareness activities, it is aimed to raise people's level of knowledge about the environment. We aim to encourage local communities, businesses and the public to be sensitive to environmental issues and to adopt sustainable living habits. As an association, we are committed to protecting the right of future generations to live in a clean and livable environment. Our association also aims to contribute to the creation of environmentally sensitive policies by cooperating with local governments.
Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület aims to create a social sensitivity towards environmental problems and to create a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable life for young people and society. To this end, it emphasizes the importance of raising environmental awareness and contributing to a sustainable future by developing various activities and projects.
OUR ACTIVITES
As Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület, we organize studies, training and events to raise awareness and consciousness for a sustainable environment by inviting the community together with our founding members.
Budapest Park Cleanup Event
Together with our members, we organized an environmental cleaning event in the parks of Budapest in 2023. While cleaning the parks, we carried garbage bags with us to include the people of Budapest and invited them verbally. Together with our members and the public, we collected garbage in the parks in Budapest. By cleaning our parks, we protected the natural beauties of Budapest. In this respect, we prevented both general environmental pollution and visual and soil pollution.
Budapest Nature Walks Event
Together with the members of our organization, we organized nature walks to explore the natural beauties of Budapest and have direct contact with the environment. Together with the members and the people of Budapest, we had the opportunity to experience sustainable living in the city.
Recycling Campaign
In a meeting with our members, it was decided to work on recycling. The recycling work aims to raise public awareness on waste separation and increase environmental sensitivity.
Environment Themed Online Movie Screenings
Together with our members, online movie screenings were organized to raise awareness of the people of Budapest and draw attention to environmental issues. The films watched at the online screenings were first selected with our members, and two options were presented to the people who participated in the event before the screening started, and the film that received the majority of votes was watched. The aim was to help participants better understand environmental issues through visual media.
Cleaning the Riverbank
Our members organized an environmental cleaning campaign on the Danube River. Waste found along the shore was collected. This event helped to clean the riverbank and raise environmental awareness among the public.
Zero Waste and Recycling
Our organization organized a seminar on Zero Waste and Recycling at a local school. Expert speakers gave speeches on the importance of recycling, waste reduction strategies and protection of natural resources. Thanks to the seminar held at the local school, students learned how to take more environmentally friendly steps.
Environmental Education in Local Schools
Members of our organization organized environmental education programs in local primary schools. Interactive presentations were made to students on topics such as the importance of recycling, water saving, energy saving. These activities aimed to raise awareness of future generations against environmental pollution and to raise them as environmentally conscious individuals.
Sustainable Living and Environmental Awareness: The Impact of Our Steps on the Future: Webinar
In this event, which took place online in July 2023, our members aimed to raise environmental awareness and explain the principles of sustainable living. During the event, information was provided on the critical importance of our natural resources, environmental awareness, air, water, soil, light, visual, noise and radioactive pollution, the impact of environmental pollution on living things, and environmentally friendly habits to be practiced in daily life. The contributions of the above-mentioned series of activities to our project are quite valuable. Thanks to the activities organized by our organization, it is aimed primarily to increase environmental awareness and spread awareness on reducing environmental pollution. It will also enable us to be more conscious, cautious and experienced in the implementation of the activities to be organized within the scope of the project. The studies, events and training are examples that reflect the interest of our organization in sustainability and environmental protection, which aims to combat environmental pollution. We believe that our organization will have a wider impact in the field of environmental protection with its future projects, goals and growing influence.
