For the Better: Sustainability - From Natural Resources to Renewable Energy

Frissítve: aug. 5.

The second day of the “For the Better: Sustainability” project, coordinated by Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület under the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange programme (Project No: 2024-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000267485), focused on increasing young people's awareness of natural resource conservation and sustainable energy solutions. In line with the project's objective of promoting environmental sustainability, participants took part in a variety of educational and practical activities designed to deepen their understanding of responsible resource use.
During the first part of the day, participants attended informative sessions on the importance of natural resources, conscious consumption habits, and their impact on the environment. Through presentations and visual materials, young people explored why the sustainable use of natural resources is crucial for environmental protection and the well-being of future generations. The sessions also encouraged participants to discuss current environmental challenges and develop potential solutions to address them.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in hands-on activities by working in groups to design and build wind turbine and solar panel models. Through this experiential learning process, they gained practical insight into how renewable energy technologies function and contribute to reducing environmental impacts. By exploring sustainable energy alternatives firsthand, participants developed a greater appreciation for the role of renewable energy in combating climate change and supporting a greener future. The day’s activities successfully strengthened their awareness of environmentally friendly energy solutions and sustainable development.
