The third day of the “For the Better: Sustainability” project (Project No: 2024-3-HU01-KA152-YOU-000267485), coordinated by Fenntartható Ifjúságért Egyesület, focused on sustainable consumption and environmentally friendly lifestyle habits.

During the first part of the day, participants took part in sessions exploring the environmental impact of the textile industry and the concept of sustainable fashion. Discussions focused on the pressure that fast-consumption culture places on natural resources, the environmental consequences of clothing production, and the importance of making more sustainable consumer choices. Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants exchanged ideas and gained new perspectives on how everyday consumption habits can influence environmental sustainability.

In the afternoon, participants joined a creative workshop where they designed and produced their own reusable cloth bags, experiencing firsthand the value of sustainable alternatives to single-use products. By combining practical handcraft skills with creative thinking techniques, young people developed environmentally friendly solutions that can help reduce plastic waste in daily life. The products created during the workshop served as tangible examples of how sustainable consumption habits can be incorporated into everyday routines.

Through these activities, participants not only increased their environmental awareness but also discovered practical ways to support sustainability on an individual level. The third day highlighted the importance of conscious consumption, creativity, and personal responsibility in building a more sustainable and environmentally conscious society.
